  • An investigation on air cooling condenser of the close-loop self-circulation evaporative cooling large wind power generator

      As a widely used clean and renewable energy, the wind power has attracted the attention of all nations in the world. The application of evaporative cooling technology in the cooling method of large wind power generator is a new attempt in the discovery of wind power energy. This paper mainly discusses the air cooling condenser with frequency converted axial fan which is adopted in the natural temperature close-loop self-circulation evaporative cooling system of large wind power generator. Some key problems which puzzling the people in the designation and running of the evaporative cooling system is also introduced here. All these will do great help to the development of the evaporative cooling large wind power generator

  • Temperature characteristics in the stator model of a permanent magnet motor by water-cooling and evaporative cooling

      An experimental model, which is realized by combining technologies of the water-cooling and the evaporative cooling, is presented. The principle of the evaporative cooling technology is described thoroughly. The comparison of the cooling effects by two cooling techniques has been done. A FM motor adopting the evaporative cooling technology for underwater apparatus is introduced also.

  • Design of experimental device used for heat transfer research of single-phase and two-phase spray cooling

    • 摘要:

      Spray cooling is a very efficient mean for dissipating high heat flux with low volumetric flux and Low surface temperature, which is used in many fields. However, there are many differences about the heat transfer mechanism of spray cooling academically. This paper introduces in detail an experimental device, which can be used for heat transfer research of single-phase and two-phase spray cooling. The analysis of experimental data from this device is presented finally, which will be a good reference for the design of the real spray cooling equipment.

  • Applied to superconducting motor rotor microvolt dc voltage detection technology research

      Quench detection and protection of superconducting coil is an important subject of superconducting power technology practical application, in order to detecting the superconductor quenches signal quickly and accurately, on the basis of the existing super voltage loss test, this paper put forward a kind of microvolt dc voltage signal detection amplifier for superconducting motor rotor, through using the isolation of microvolt straight loss super voltage signal, the matching design of input line, the specific design of hardware experimental platform, realize detection and amplification for quenches voltage signal. The experimental result shows that the system has met the superconductor quenches for signal detection of superconducting motor precision rapidity requirements.

  • Thermal analysis and optimization of the stator structure of a submerged cryogenic induction motor

    • 摘要:

      The submerged cryogenic induction (SCI) motor is a key component of a submerged liquefied natural gas (SLNG) pump. In this paper, A lumped-parameter-based thermal analysis applicable to the stator of a 15kW SCI motor for the SLNG pump is presented. The corresponding stator winding losses is calculated based on the thermal analysis result. In order to reduce the stator winding losses, the stator structure of the 15kW SCI motor is optimized to improve the heat dissipation of the stator windings.

  • Research of evaporative cooling method for improving electric field of high voltage generator

    • 摘要:

      In order to develop the first inland 24 kV rated voltage turbogenerator, this paper proposes to adopt an evaporative cooling method to realize it. According to the high insulation capability of evaporative cooling medium, this paper gives a new kind of stator insulation structure that is suitable to evaporative cooling mode and can be applied to high voltage level. By finite element method calculation software, this paper simulates the static electric fields in the slot and the end of a high voltage generator stator. Then this paper analyzes in detail the three-phase insulation system consisted of gas, liquid and solid formed by evaporative cooling mode, including the reliability of its anti-corona and anti-breakdown. After a series of researches on insulation characteristic and laws of the new structure, a conclusion that if the new insulation system is designed in reason it is feasible to 24 kV rated voltage, is obtained.

  • Direct drive permanent magnet wind generator design and electromagnetic field finite element analysis

      The wind generator's simulation model is set up to study the electromagnetic field by finite element method. Based on Maxwell electromagnetic theory, the distribution of magnetic field is obtained and generator characteristics are calculated in the case of no load and load transient operation. The post processing helps to optimize the design of the generator. Meanwhile, some practical project problems are solved.

  • Research on sensorless BLDCM control strategy based on line voltage difference

      The sensorless control strategy has become one of the important research directions of brushless DC motors. Researchers have proposed a variety of rotor position signal detection methods. Now, brushless DC motor position sensors usually use the back EMF to detect the zero-crossing point. While the zero-crossing point of the back EMF of the non-conducting phase winding is detected, and then delay 30° electrical angle to obtain the commutation time. But the method needs to reconstruct the neutral point of the motor with a certain error. In order to avoid the influence of the error, the paper studies and analyzes the rotor position detection technology based on the line voltage difference based on the traditional back EMF zero-crossing signal detection technology. Finally, a test platform based on STM32F103 development board was built. The feasibility of the method was verified by the actual operation of the motor.

  • The development of cooling techniques for hydrogenerators - Reliability, maintenance, economic performance

      In this paper, three kinds of cooling methods was introduced. A new concept of evaluating a kind of cooling method is put forward here. That is reliability, maintenance and economic performance from the point of view of the whole generator set. Then the development procedure of the evaporative cooling technique applied to the hydrogenerator was presented. At the same time, the basic research of this technique was introduced. Finally, the matching between inner cooling of stator's bars and air cooling of the stator core and rotor should be further concerned from the optimal design of the whole unit.

  • Comparative analysis of torque and flux ripples for several direct torque control strategies of PMSM

    • 摘要:

      In this paper, the direct torque control (SVM-DTC) and predictive torque control (SVM-PTC) strategies based on space vector modulation (SVPWM) were studied, which effectively solved the problems about the high torque and flux ripples of traditional direct torque control (TDTC). Firstly, the voltage vector applied to the PMSM was accurately calculated in the stationary and rotating coordinate system respectively. Next, these three different DTC strategies were simulated and got corresponding diagrams of torque and flux. What's more, the amplitude of ripple and the total harmonic distortion (THD) of current were compared and analyzed. Finally, the obtained results verify the superiority of the SVM-DTC and SVM-PTC and their effectiveness in reducing the PMSM torque and flux ripples. Furthermore, it came to a conclusion that the SVM-PTC could achieve the best control effect.
