1. New Anti-viral Agents for the treatment of HIV(Serbia)

Project Introduction:

The project is developed by the Institute of chemistry, technology and metallurgy of the University of Belgrade.An isolated and purified a new anti-viral agent. Its amino acid sequence is completely new with no higher than 35% identity with known sequences. Anti-viral activity was confirmed against HIV-1 and HSV-2. Currently under research are 8 viruses including SARS-CoV-19 and 20 microbes. This polypeptide, conjugates, fusion proteins and compositions comprising whole polypeptide or continuous parts of its amino acid sequence, inhibit a viral infection of a host. Method of production of this anti-viral polypeptide, its conjugates or fusion proteins and compositions. Provided are methods of inhibiting prophylactically or therapeutically a viral infection of a host. Half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) for different HIV-1 strains ranges from 0.05 - 60 nM, which is in the range of the best published values for this type of antiviral agents. Moreover, its high stability under alkaline conditions, absence of cytotoxicity and of mitogenic effect in the range of therapeutic concentrations are advantages over known proteins of the same mechanism of anti-viral action. The therapeutic concept based on this type of proteins is seen as capable to hit the Achilles heel of HIV.

The solution can be applied in the form of serum to the skin (as cosmetics) and it cures acne as it attacks the bacteria causing it. the solution is 100% natural and it uses no chemistry or antibiotics. 

Existing solutions only clean the skin and do not  cure the acne. Only antibiotics can cure the acne. use of antibiotics in lately becoming more and more restricted as they also cause antimicrobial resistance (AMR). So preventive use of antibiotics for non-essential treatments is becomming prohibited. Our solution is completely natural as bacteriophages are found in nature and are considered a natural material. they have no side effects and are very effective in treating any kind of bacterial infections. They do no harm to the environment, do not create antimicrobial resistance and and work for as long as they are needed. With the new technology develped by Jafral, we can now produce bacteriophages on a large scale and for a cheaper price.
