Based on U.L. method, this paper described the application of the finite element method for three-dimensional elastoplastic deformation to predict the seamless tube forming process by computer. The transforming matrix between the integrated coordinate and local coordinates was given in the wave front area. By using the finite method together with EPFEP3 program, its preparation and post-treating programs were developed. The simulation model for controlling product quality was established and a lot of information of workpiece deformation including displacement and flow field were given. The integration research of finite element method and computer-aided design was realized for seamless tube forming.
