Steel industry in 1990s

• 摘要：

  Based on the present status of iron and steel production in China the tendency of world iron and steel industrial development is analyzed. It points out that the position of iron and steel as important materials would not be changed significantly during 1990s and even in 21st century. Still there will be large markets for iron and steel worldwide, especially in China. According to the scientific and technological progress and the innovation of technological process iron and steel works would be reformed to meet new requirements by flexible manufacturing and microelectronic technique. As a result, the product variety of these works would be increased with improved quality, lower cost and better economical benefits. International trade for iron and steel will be further developed.
